Welcome to Architectural Treasures & The Old Radiator Company

Architectural Treasures was established in 2003 in order to offer the existing customers of The Old Radiator Company the opportunity to view and purchase original fireplaces and other architectural features while choosing their original radiators. This has grown to become an integral and thriving part of the business.

At Architectural Treasures, we are committed to the conservation and re-use of Reclaimed Architectural Salvage Goods, Antiquities and Artifacts.

The three rooms at the Tenterden showroom display restored fireplaces (and radiators) and the large on-site storage areas also give you the customer the opportunity to explore the fireplaces waiting to be restored to their former glory at our in-house workshop.

Architectural Treasures have about 200 restored and a similar number waiting to be restored fireplaces in stock with “new “ stock arriving all the time. These have been reclaimed from historically interesting houses throughout the country. Recently Architectural Treasures sold a fireplace designed for a musical room which was found to be listed in the catalogue from The Great Exhibition of 1851 which was re-installed in a beautiful period property to be enjoyed again.

Our stock comprises of small cast iron bedroom fireplaces to large cast iron fireplaces suitable for pride of place in a ballroom, with materials from marble to carved wooden, with styles from Georgian to Edwardian. These can be painted and in the case of the cast iron can be polished to a Pewter type finish highlighting the intricate casting of an original fireplace.

Over the years we have only have a very small number of repeated styles so you can be assured by choosing an original fireplace from Architectural Treasures you have a unique piece of history.

Architectural Treasures is now able to offer made to measure doors made from reclaimed pine and complimentary door furniture based on original designs. This ensures you can have matching doors and door furniture thought you house no matter how large.
